Many of the cars that were at Birmingham were present at Buxton along with the Scottish visitors (marked *) and local racer now in the Nationals Rob Hadfield made a return in his giving a healthy entry of 26 rods

John Sibbald led for much of the race until Stu Carter blasted his way past to take the win

Keith Wilson led them to start with Sibbald coming through to lead, Stu Carter and Hadfield were cutting through the traffic, with Carter hitting the front followed by Hadfield, the former running out the winner by a couple of laps, however a black cross had earned carter a 2 place penalty handing the win to Hadfield

Heath led them off this time whilst Hadfield was flying through the pack, the order at the front was Heath, Conroy, Scott Carter and Hadfield and these 4 pulled clear with Hadfield gradually making his way through to take the lead and chequered flag

Again Sibbald was out at the front with Scott Carter, Stu Carter and Hadfield quickly up behind him, Stu C made it past his brother and was sson into the lead whilst  Hadfield did not have such an easy time, and despite a yellow flag period when 332 came too grief along the back straight Stu C ran out the winner

A cosmopolitan entry was present for this open meeting, along with the Buxton cars they were joined by Mike Serjeant from the West Country, National driver Wilson Hamilton out for the first time this year having a warm up outing and a contingent of Scottish 2 Litre cars (marked *) giving a healthy entry of 21 rods

Heath led them away and opend up a gap as the order behind settled down to McGuigan, Convey, and Hamilton. McGuigan gradually reeled in Heath as Hamilton fought his way past Conroy and over the laps the front three all closed up . With 3 to go they were three abreast around turn 1 as McGuigan won the battle and Hamilton went sideways doing well to keep control and still get past Heath. As McGiugan got behind a back marker Hamilton took to the outside and just managed to out drag him over the line winning by the width if his bumper.with Serjeant doing well from the back to finoish 5th

Richard Rigby led for several laps until overhauled Stu Carter who gradually opened up a gap. Goodsir lost it down the back straight and Wilcox retired as well, Hamilton had Serjeant chasing him and these two gradually worked their way through round the back markers to take 2nd & 3rd

The final was lined up wwith the highest point scorers at the back, at the green Wilcox was quickly into the lead and within a few laps had pulled out a ½ lap advantage from Heath. Serjeant was carving his way through the grid  and was up to second with 5 to go, he gradually reduced Wilcox’s lead at the flag to ¼ lap. Hamilton had also been working hard forcing his way round the outside line to net him 5th
